What i've got right now is the rabite when not close it stays in one spot.But if your close to it it moves after you and when close enough it bites.
A rabite is a rabbit-like creature that is yellow and has no arms or legs.Because of this it hops after you ( i got that already ) but what i want is if you're far from it it just hops back and forth

and it just hops in random directions? what are the direction limits? 4 directions, 8 directions?
Check out Noadi's NPC movement script in one of these boards, it may have what you want.

oh it's that butterfly one, yes i've tested it before but it's not what i'm looking for though, i think the rabite could move in 4 directions

by snapped to grid do you mean that it moves in squares like in pokemon,final fantasy, mystic quest, dragon quest?
