We're still here. If you find another language that is that powerful and somewhat easy to learn, is logical, and cheap/free, PLEASE point it out, and we might be able to bring the project over to that language instead. I've had experiences in 13 programming languages, and can confidently say that GM is the best for doing what we're doing so far.
Also, keep in mind. Fable wasn't created by a team of 5. Maybe a team of 50. And they didn't work for free either (no, I'm not getting involved in industry, companies, and business. It's against my philosophy; I'm a freelancer). Nor were they 10-20 year olds with limited knowledge of programming languages. Just because a game can be 200x better than we could ever dream of doing, doesn't mean that we should be discourages. Those are games that attract the masses, with intent to earn millions. We're in this to create a game for fun, education, experience, and good feedback.

what's funny about fable is that it took 4 years to make they kept on changing things over and over and redoing graphics, and in the end all they had was a perfectly good working game engine with barely a story at all, that's why i'm happy it'll be on the pc, newer armor and upgrades and best of all a real story this time, and if it has a bad story who cares? we could use mods i don't know any programming languages, so i dunno, but this is the GM rpg boards so i think we should stay with it. Really i think we could do it, it's just hard to do something when noone even posts you sorta become unmotivated, so i'm glad that you posted,

I'm a quick learner and an excellent teacher when it comes to programming languages. If you want to stick with GM, I can see why, tho.

i want this to happen too, dont worry, its just college is intense at the moment.
I myself know VB, PHP, and GML. But i can code in C, C++ etc, as long as I have the syntax infront of me, as at the end of the day, most languages use the same concepts.

I'm definately liking the graphics in Oblivion. "If you're looking for trouble, you'll get more than you bargained for"
