The title says it all, but I shall elaborate. Reiner's Tilesets, even though they are free for all use (verified by Reiner himself in a reply to one of my gamedev posts), are somewhat limited, so I decided to make my own sprites.
The actual design is up to the artist, with permission to change the coloration as needed. The only requirements I have are that they are suitable for children (in other words, nothing skimpier than Rinoa's outfit in Final Fantasy 8), and would fit in a fantasy setting.
I also need them to be bald (male and female characters) and drawn to the same scale in front and side view. Hair is unnecessary, because I plan on generating it with a Python script. If you have visions of how the hair should look you can shade in the hair line, but I need the character to be bald to allow for rotoscoping (tracing edge loops over a 2D image to convert to a 3D model) and hair usually interferes with the top portion of the face.
You will be listed in the credits under character design and if the characters make it into a commercial project (which will likely happen, just gotta make the jump to 3D) you will be compensated. PM me and we'll hammer out the details.
