I'm letting Xenith keep this up because
1) you can use this to do research for your RPG 2) you can use this to base your sprites off of and such
If somewhere within the site is says otherwise, then the site prioritizes over what I just said.

I use weapons catalogs all the time for weapon reference pictures. They are wonderful sources of inspiration since they often have fantasy swords. Now the purpose is of course selling their weapons which often makes me wish I had more money to spend because I'd love a nice swept hilt italian grip rapier. However DO NOT take these catalogs as historically accurate unless they specify that it's a museum quality replica or SCA legal. However since historical accuracy usually isn't a concern for RPGs it's a small thing. I need to sort through my weapons links and then I'll post my favorites later. Maybe we can build up this thread to be a good reference for those needing ideas for weapons. Edit: sorry it's taken so long, I've been busy. Here's the links. Historical Referenceswww.thehaca.com/ - The HACA, resource for historical fencing and medieval and rennaissance combat. musketeer.org/ - Academy of Defence www.aemma.org/ - Academy of European Martial Arts Weapons Catalogswww.swords-and-medieval-collectibles.com/intro.html - Swords and Medieval Collectibles www.popinj.com/ - Historical swords by Popinj, these are historically accurate custom swords legal for use in the SCA. My former fencing instructor owns one of his swords and it's amazing so this is a great reference if you want to use rennaissance weapons.
