Sprites for IA

you wanted 16x24 right?
why is this the specific size?
i'm not sure if i could fit enough detail in there so i will try to find a good sprite and edit it.
is 16x24 the average size of a final fantasy character?

as for backgrounds i would like some specificness for your game.
1. time period
2. what type of land? cartoony? serious medievil ( as in accurate )?or do you want the typical fantasy sprites?
3. size for tiles
