You know if we had an off-topic forum i bet we could get this forum rolling, it's just a suggestion, people could talk about stuff like videogames and music or something

it would get the off-topic section rolling, but I have slight doubts that it would have much of an effect on the rest of the forum.

An off topic bit would be good, and would probably keep more people active in this forum, but I dont think it should be completely off topic. It has to be to do with gaming concepts/rpgs related topics in my opinon. Ive been on forums, where the general discussion is very active, and the actual focus of the forum, is very quiet. To me this defeats the object .

I used to think ISM rulled this board with an iron fist, so to speak. She never let a single post or topic be out of context/offtopic. I used to think this was bad, but ive realised it was good, it kept us on track. Recently, she seems to have become more relaxed, but is still the strong leader we have all come to know.I think this is a great combination.

Hope all this makes sense, im in a bit of a completeist mood today, so no half posts from me ;D

Hence the reason I rule with an iron fist. Most of those forums are led by n00bs normally anyways, who have a board just to feel the power. If there was a GM RPG board already, I never would have had the desire to open a forum (unless that forum wasn't doing too well do to a n00b leader)

None taken; I take that as a compliment.
The main reason I've been more lenient is because the only active members are quite responsible. Of course, the newer users I do tend to be a bit more strict with. I'm just doing whatever it takes to encourage people to be active here.
