On July 17, I will be erasing all accounts which have 2 or less posts. The reason will be inactivity.
In order to avoid this massive clearance, simply post replies or start new topics until your post count is above 2.
Spam, Flames, Flood, Double Posts, etc. will do nothing for you but get you a warning. Such posts will not be added to your post count, so if you had 2 posts and you make a spam post, that post will be deleted, you will be warned, and your account will be removed due to inactivity.
Not to worry though, once your account has been removed and you want it back, simply register that account again. This is only to eliminate inactivity. Users who post in the inactivity excuse thread with a valid excuse will be omitted. Some other accounts may also be omitted for various reasons.

I hope I'm not out of line in asking, but where will that leave members who join on July 17 prior to the wipe to ask a question and can't find a post that they can currently add a meaningful reply to?

They will find that upon July 17th their account will no longer exist, and they will have to recreate the account.
There's 2 or more polls in here. Surely they can simply reply to a poll with their 2 cents.
