I'm willing to bring the WIP list back, if enough people are in favor of it. I didn't see it very useful, since you could just click on the link if you wanted to find out about a game.

i agree, there is almost no use for the wip list if it told you a bit more about the bame it would be good for quick reference but as it only states the name of the game and the author its preety much useless

Maybe make it so that each game creator has to give a small part of it's story and actual game info while posting his or her game?

I'm talking about the WIP list. not too long ago I used to have a single topic that was pinned in the WIP forum, that listed all the WIP's by who was making them (in alphabetical order). It gave nothing more than the Username, Game Name, and linked to a website if they had one. I also mentioned if a demo or trailor could be expected soon. Due to an apparent lack of interest, I found it pointless to waste my time in continually updating it, so I killed it.

Well that's the thing...
I knew what it was (I read it a few times), all I was suggesting is that people add a description to their game if they want to make it more interesting. The only thing that should change on it this time is removing dead projects and moving WIP games to the completed projects area. That would save you some time.

So you don't care about the list, you just think that that should be a rule for posting on the WIP forum that you must include "a small part of it's story and actual game info"?
I think it sounds good, but could we keep this topic relevant to the pinned topic I had made for listing the WIP's? A new topic may be made for anything not related to this.

Ok, Take 3.
Make something to re-create the WIP list. But this time, when people update their game and site, they should Email you or PM you to change it (abuse leading to ban).
Now the next step is to Require everyone make a formal header with everything in their PM: Game Creator, Website, Brief description of the game. That's to help ease the WIP copying progress.
If that's too much work, then drop the WIP list. If you find my idea interesting and less hectic to do than go through every thread and try to find WIP info, bring it back. ^_^ That means I'm all for it, but only if you make measures to decrease YOUR workload (since you're the one who said it's too much work to keep it up)

It's not too much work. It's almost no work at all. I just saw it as pointless in keeping it updated if nobody's going to use it.

Yeah, but the thing is, you never know if it'll be useful to some (me!)
Look at most sites, there is a lot of content on certain sites that never get seen anymore yet they keep it there as reference, just in case.

Well, I did find it kind of useful. Prehaps it would be easier if I helped out with it (seeing as I am a mod of that board)?

You and LanceHeart can work together on it. I'm making him keeper also. Don't feel like you've lost some of your power. feel like there's now twice as much power in that board.
