you'd need a server with lots of webspace, hotlinking, and free. Now that's hard to come by.

I am larning php soon, and I will get broadband, so we may be able to host it off my pc. I wil have mysql and php installed.
I can also create good sites (non php at the moment)

If we were to host it on your PC, you'd have to keep your PC on 24/7 in order for us to have access to the files. Now you're paying for Bandwidth, PHP, Broadband, MySQL, AND the power hog staying on 24/7.
Hey, it's your money. As the admin, I'll allow you to do it, and I'll do whatever's in my power to fix up the boards so it's easier to find.

well we can get tons of free web space at www.thefreesite.com/Free_Web_Space/, but some site dont work. i can design the site, but i despise looking for space on the web. my friend is taking graphic design so i could get him to design the graphics for the page. |

indeed ism, but i think it could work. Now all I need is a provider that doesn't cap me  which is hard to come by nowadays, as the unlimited ones have limited reach. |

if you want to keep your pc running all night go ahead, by almeans, it would probably alow us to make a better site than with a free prvider, but with a free provider we could aslo make the site woth out any cost at all. so its up to you. but hosting services like tripod can be okay, yahoo is nastly but there are some nice ones out there.
again its up to you weather you want to leave you computer on 24/7

I think a simple mechanism for advertising is through signatures. So here is what i propose, rather than having a text link, we all put the following picture link in our GMC sigs, and sooner or later, people will be like, "What's with all these people and these banners?", then they will click, and if this place is useful to them, they will sign up. i think its unlimited too
All i need is a case fan (as my pc turns itself off at night becuase it gets so hot) and im good to go!
