hello (long post)

[my intro]

hello all,
I am very happy to have found this forum. I don't use I.M. so this is about the only way I can interact with the rest of you.
I am 25 and have played more games than I can count. I have wanted to design games for a looong time(20 years), but never had the chance.I found GameMaker not too long ago and I am overjoyed at what I found within. I have looked into other game creation utilities and GM is the most robust and user friendly I have seen. I am having some trouble figuring it out but I am progressing daily.
I got so sick of other engines and ripped sprites and stuck up people on other forums that I will use GM exclusivly until I learn C/C++ or some other language for 3D based games or performance issues. I have always loved rpgs and that is what I will be working on for the most part. I have a plethora of ideas as well as questions, so I hope to be active here. um I'm rambling so I'll be quiet. I am a bit disorganized right now (don't even have a web page up) but with a little support, recognition, acceptance??? I should make some great progress.

Yes, I also got a forum like this and its happens really often. I dont know why but it's not really a problem and its only happens the forst time ;D
