ok, i have been away from gamemaker for what seems to be a long time! Well, I guess my RPG wil never be finished now, what with so many other commitments, mainly college and music. Therefore, I am going to speedily produce a Spoof RPG!!! Bacsically, its a simple rpg that will hopefully be funny. It will be very short, and once it is released, I shall release an engine and other lovely things Now, to help me, if anyone has any spare sprites that they can donate to this cause, I would be very grateful. Thanks Todd

ok, ive decided not to convert to gm6 as there are to many thing i have to change, and im not sure If I like it yet..
here are the things already in my RPG: dialogue system (with y/n, and questions) battle system(with magic, item, summon, defend. attack, and limit attack, like ff7) grid based movement options that inclde swapping magics/summons around, pace of game, change of name etc save/load using ini files Levels that all have forumulas, so increase when you get exp Damage scripts that use enemy defence and human attack to determine the power Everything you can do to the enemy, you can do to the player, and visa versa (so haste, life etc)
Thisngs to include: Magic Barriers in battle encypt the ini save files(so you cant cheat) Different weapons
oh, and il probably release this as an open source engine once I have done.
thanks to the people who have viewd this Topic
Todd
EDIT:, I will post pics as soon as microtech works again

Do you have a team or are you doing this solo?
That looks like quite a feat for someone to do alone, and looks like you're doing real good so far.
Keep up the good work. I await screenshots/a demo.

I am doing this solo, and it is tough going.
I really just need to work on the graphics, and I have a few ideas on how i can do them that will save me a lot of time.
A demo will be up very soon.
Thanks for your reply Ism.

well, as you may be able to guess, progress has been slow. I got Halflife 2, then i got loads of deadlines for college, and im only just beging to break free. I have, though, worked on it a bit, and I now have a pretty cool tile set ;D Ill work more on it soon, and the game will probably end up being an interactive demo that will take around half an hour to complete. I wil release the source code at the same time.

yea, not much work has been put into to this recently, but im going to post a demo tonight hopefully.
I would just like to know if you think i should carry it on once my exams have finished? Considereing it is a year since i first started it, it is about 3 months work, and is what helped me become good at GM.
Well, ill post a demo and see what you guys think, and also ill check if theres anything i can add to the community project.
