Incendium (Dev. Screen Added)

As a break (of sorts ) from the high demands of my primary WIP, Dropping Plates, I've decided to release some information on my current side project. I seem to have hit a brick wall with DP, so I'm following the advice of many a wise man before me - work on something else you enjoy, and come back to it later. I present to you the general idea of Incendium.

Janus, a lesser demon of Hell’s ranks, is wounded in a massive battle on a spiritual plane. Just moments before receiving his deathblow, he and some surrounding spirits are suddenly engulfed in an opening rift. Darkness surrounds him as he slips into unconciousness.
... ... ...
There is feeling; there is physical sensation. Our anti-hero Janus awakens to find himself in a forest clearing. His right wing has been completely severed, and he will soon discover that he is quite unaccustomed to controlling his powers on the physical plane. Actually, he’s not the only one. What begins as the simple quest of returning to the underworld will rapidly become so much more..

Here's a screen to give you a general idea of the opening area.. it is in VERY early stages. I really just wanted to show off Janus and the cute, little Blood Slimes.

The storyline seems promising. I can't wait to see some screens of the actual game.

Sounds like a job. just remember that a side project is a relief from your primary job. It shouldn't be too challenging as to annoy you to the point where you have to take a side step from the side project of the primary, and you never get the primary done. (That almost made sense, so basically keep it simple so you can return to your primary with motivation)

storyline does seem promising, but sounds like a brain buster to program.
Hope you have fun, and can't wait to see more.
