Do you remember playing the old console Final Fantasy games? I can remember all of the great gameplay, and interesting stories... Do you wish one of the greatest 3d Final Fantasy games had the same feel and nostalgic gameplay as the 2d games? Well, wish no more! We, the Project FFX-2D team, are recreating Final Fantasy X; one of the best 3d rpg's of its time, into a nostalgic feeling 2d rpg! (sorry bout the cheezy attn grabber, but its the best Ive got)

anyways- progress is still going strong. Battle engine (almost exactly the same as the atb in FFX) is coming along nicely, and the item menu system is good now too ^_^

I am thinkin a demo will be ready in a month or so.

dude this was posted more than i year ago, i'm sure that this game has canceled it, i'm not sure though, i think the guy who was making this came from the zelda fan game forums (ZFGC) and there is also a game there being made OoT2d which i'm pretty sure the creator doesn't havve much time to make it either

i am in contact with Mamoruanime. He said that he's been bogged up a lot with everything. Due to inactivity in these forums, his account has been terminated, and his project's announcement here made null.
