If you'd like to see a mockup of the battle system check here it's a link because the mockup in 800x600. Everything there is mostly what it will look like in game except for the background, I haven't had a chance to make any yet so the one in that mockup is just a perspective guide that I made to help me with drawing the backgrounds.

Wow. Personally, I'm much better at coding and putting my ideas to work than pixel art, but recently I've started developing a rough style of my own. Your work is very clean and consistent, I like it a lot.. I'm really looking forward to the demo release.

Quick update on what's going on with Shaman. I'm slowly making progress on it, a lot has been going on in my life lately so I haven't had as much time to work on it as usual. Look forward to new art and screenshots soon.

Things are progressing with Shaman, a demo moves ever closer. New bit of news is that I'm going to release a short manga as a companion to Shaman, here's a preview the sketch for the cover (will be inked and colored). click here, image is largeThe manga will be released as a pdf file, probably around the same time as the demo, possibly sooner. You don't have to read it to know what is going on in the game but it will have a lot of very detailed background information about the main character Noadi in it that isn't all in the game.

The (apparently) hand-gradiated style of your sprites never ceases to amaze me, Noadi. (That was me hinting a question.)

Yes that's all done by hand, though I did trace the outline of a sketch for the portrait. The sprite particulars are 106x106, 90 colors (and that's a lot to keep track of), 30 frames, 5 layers per frame in graphics gale, and about 16 hours worth of work on it.

Noadi, your talent for pixel art is amazing! I can't wait for a demo release.
