how do i make it so that a color variable like global.color to be used to change the color of an object's bodypart for customization?? i know its confusing

unless each body part is a different object or you have sprites with different colored sprites premade it's not gonna work unfortunately sprite palettes don't exist in gm, maybe in version 6 but not 5.3...i'm not sure

gm6 has palette switcing now? that's awsome... i'm not sure how to switch palettes but i'll try it out and reply when i figure it out

no, it just swaps all of one color for another color.
And I believe Xenith is backwards. You can do it in GM5.3, but GM6's removed it (I guess Direct X can't do it).

are you saying that gm5.3 could change red to blue and not affect any of the other colours in the sprite?

well, I know for a fact that GM6 cannot. As for GM5.3, if it's not one of the functions I just posted, then no, it can't do it either.

oh the color picker is very possible in GM. We're just concerned about how it would change the color of the character.
