Hey all, i found this site when i was looking on GMC and trying to expand on my storyline.
I have 2 im trying to choose between them.
Well, i was thinking about maybe having some curse be brought upon the world by a evil creature because the people of the earth stopped sacrificing to him or something. The curse causes food to rot and other stuff and the god just wants to see the world die and then start it over. You have stop the curse and kill the god/ minions.
I could have it so there is a war of the good people( elves humans dwarves pixies ect) and evil creatures( orcs goblins evil creatures ect) and the evil creature start to pay( and intimidate) smaller, weaker, dumber creatures to cause trouble for the good people. The evil people find out that they are losing and get some evil "god-like" creature, who was trapped by someclan or somthing many 100 years ago and release him by some ritual. He raises his undead army of the past to fight the good people. ( maybe a little too "Lord of the Rings-ish")
Well im not the most creative person so those 2 are what i got. I you like ether more than the other say so, or if you have an idea, that you aren't going to use, plz post it.
Again i need help coming up with a new storyline and/or expanding on one of the other 2.
Any help will be greatly aprreciated Pink Eye

Imho, the latter is a bit more eventful, and could be played in throughout the course of the entire game. The only problem is it seems more like an RTS game than an RPG. The former, while somewhat lacking, is a bit more suited for an RPG; I could see a character going arond and doing this, whereas with the other I'd imagine you having to control a whole army, or at least have a strong persuasion over it. Take a look at the storyline of our Community RPG, as well as Morrowind's Tribunal expansion, and you'll see how you can twist a war into a game. Basically, the character would be a squire in the game, running errands and such, and/or trying the undermine the war without getting too involved in the fighting itself (he'd get himself killed!). Sure, he can do a little fighting here and there, but mostly he'd do underground stuff.

@ IsmAvatar - that seems to be the thing with modern RPGs, eg: untold legends, baulders gate.
