You mean "compile"? This is not possible with LGM yet. We plan to add G-Java in as our compiler for LGM 1.7, but that's a long ways off yet when we haven't even released 1.6 yet.

When LGM becomes a reasonable alternative to GM7 i.e. you can make, compile and run games,
1. How similar to GML will the language be in the first usable builds? 2. Will people eventually be able to load games they created in GM7, compile them in LGM+G-Java, and have them run similarly to if compiled with GM7? 3. Does the release of such a usable build look like 2007, 2008 or later release? 4. Do you expect games' performance to be faster, slower or the same as GM7 on Windows?
I really appreciate the work you are doing on a cross-platform GM IDE, and wait for the day where this project, Wine or a GM Linux build can allow me to purge Windows from my computer.

1) Legality permitting, we hope to make it exactly the same. 2) Currently you can already load games made in GM7. Compiler will obviously come later, but, legality permitting, we hope to make it work the same. 3) We don't give deadlines, but a rough estimate would suggest 2008. I wouldn't be too surprised if it shoots into 2009, though. We will quickly catch up to GM, though. 4) This depends on the compiler you use. We have no idea.

LateralGM: Redefining Casual Sex for over 35 years. Remember you Terms & Service? It required you to agree not to post content containing this: Now, please, IsmAvatar, tell me why you broke your own terms by posting some pointless, sexually oriented garbage?

www.proboards.com/tos.htmlMy terms of service do not contain that quote anywhere. I did a search for the word "false" on that page and it occurs 0 times on the page.

I copied that from the thing I had to 'accept' when registered. Anyways, the ProBoard's TOS has this:

"Redefining Casual Sex" is too ambiguous to be considered "content promoting sex"
The agreement that you signed is something that I set up, and that I myself did not have to sign. I will try to locate it and change it, because those terms are rather strict.
Please redirect further discussion on the topic of Forum TOS to the Community Forum, rather than bumping this topic.
Of course, to top this all off, some time in the not-too-distant future, I plan to re-host these forums on my own server, so as to keep LGM information in 1 central location (www.IsmAvatar.com). When that happens, we won't be restricted to the ProBoards TOS anymore, but rather to my host's TOS.

What is 'redefining casual sex for [...]' supposed to mean anyways?

It's supposed to be a joke to see if anybody actually read it. Congratulations, you've won the prize, for being the first person to notice.

Why don't you just delete it so I stop bothering you?

You're not bothering me. You seem to be tiring out yourself.
Besides, I wanna see if anyone else notices. I still have 2 more prizes to give away to 2nd and 3rd place.

Nemo, whatever you were trying to say, it didn't come out. Instead, all you did was post a quote of the original post. Try pressing "Reply" near the bottom, instead of "Quote".
