ok this game is truly a great piece of art but its not finished yet... the controlls are ARROWS- to move T-talk to people when close to them ENTETR-get on bike SHIFT-get off bike and heres the link www.myfilestash.com/userfiles/spacecadet/Whitman.zip ok now i have added a lot.. to talk to people press enter near them and now theres a lot more like a start page and a better dialouge system. theres also time and money yay... hope you like... |

not bad so far, I like to simpleness, and also the topdown view.
A few things i noticed though, I think the the view scroll should be changed, so that it scrolls before you get to the edge of the screen. Also, the controls are a bit confusing, you should place them close together, and maybe have get on/ff bike as same button.

but when the you press enter you get on the bike then you get right back off then on then off if the button is the same... if u dont understand you try... and i will fix the scroll thanks ... anyone else

yeah, i know what you mean with the get on and off in the same instant, but it can be solved. i used the same button to enter and exit the stats menu in my example. it's not in the downloadable version yet, but i can show you how if you have an IM program like yahoo, aim, or msn.

yea, i know what you mean about the bike, but a simmple if function with a varibale such as bike=true/false should fix it

I like to call it the MarkBug. You can solve it with a variable in the create event, and then either an alarm or just a one-time cache. I like to name the variable MarkBug. Mark has been aware of this bug since version 5.2 and has neglected it.

it's quite good but i'm not sure i could get used to that overhead view, maybe you should go for the classic rpg view, it won't affect the bike riding cuz it worked very well in pokemon, i'm assuming those are temp graphics if you want i could do some for you, but of course they would have to be in the classic rpg view
by the way how come everytime i go to your forum i have to log in all over again, even if i do click the rmember me box, it still doesn't stay in

no these graphics are permanent.. i dont really want it to be something diffrent. these are simple to use and plus i dont want to have to give credit to anyone but the person who made the npc random movement...and also my buddy who thaught up some ideas to add that im working on now...

ok this is more annoying than anything... i have posted a topic in the resources topic and noone has replied.. that was posted about a month ago... and now this noone replies to my stuff anymore.. this forum is almost slower than mine... and if it was something in the communit project you are focusing on... then sorry but i just think that a post that has been here for a month should at least have one reply...

what are you talking about alot of people have replied to your topic it's just that there are so few members who are actually here, some members join but they never post, but the active members try to post as often as they can,
