Um... It would be good if you explained a bit more.. I have never played any game called "Super Mario RPG " (or is that a game?) and I dont understand what you mean, but if you explain im sure someone here can help you!

Never played the game, but I might be able to help (despite the vagueness).
in the step event of some object, With a chance of 1 out of (we'll say 100), go to the battle room.
That way, at random intervals of time up to 100 steps (about 3 seconds), you'll encounter something. There is no minimum time to this, though, so you might get another battle only a splite second after your last battle.
